Cardiff (General) & Barry Pier Preparatory work in progress for remodelling of roadway east of Old Island Road rail overbridge access to No.1 dock in connection with the Vale of Glamorgan Railway acquisition of former Low Level Goods depôt and yard for phase 1 rail link from Barry Island via causeway. One of the new lines from the single line incline branching into the depôt is already in place. The former siding to the left of the building had been removed some years earlier and the former through line this side of the building, terminated previously at a buffer stop short of the docks roadway to No.1 dock, tank farm, south side.
